ADF Meeting 10/19/91

The meeting was held at our house. Present were Georgeanna, Sharon, Greg and Skip. The main purpose was the writing of the Ritual for Samhain. Georgeanna and Bev had represented ADF at the Earth Treaty celebration held 10/13/91 at Willow Bay. Georgeanna led the group in a Earth Healing chant and ended up being on the 6:00 news (Channel 3). We had 5 new people add their names to the mailing list while there.

The space will be set up as a circle this time. At one point in the Ritual, everyone will be given a candle. Males and females will form up into seperate groups and spiral into the center of the circle from opposite directions. At the center everyones candle will be extinguished, then lit from another candle. This candle will have been lit from the sun. Georgeanna will be at the center putting out then lighting the candles.

The Gods for this Ritual will be Manonon Mac Lir and the Dagda. The Goddesses will be Caliche Bhure and Morrigu. For the nature spirits, we will also call upon the sacred animals Epona, white mare of the hills, Ked, sacred sow of the sacred isle of Man, Artio, great she bear, Fand, the female leader of the deer, plus their male counterparts Cernunnos for the stag and Ateur for the bear. I need to find out the others.

Other things that need to be done:
1)Call John & Lila about doing the Ancestors list the spirits for the Native Americans that dwelt on these lands the grandparent spirits of these lands.
2) Find a couple to do the asperging.
3) Talk to Bev about being Trance Druid.
4) Get lime at Agway to outline the area.

We decided that the theme for the party will be to dress as a character from any science fiction book, not just the Hobbit or Lord of The Rings.
