ADF Meeting 11/24/91

The meeting was held at Skip and Sharon's house. Present were Bev, Georgeanna, Sharon, Connie, and Skip.

Started talking about the Ritual for the Winter Solstice. We decided that it would be the reverse of what was done for the Summer Solstice between George's group and ours.
This was a recreation of the ritual battle between the Oak King and the Holly King. The party for Yule will be held here on 12/21/91 starting at 6:30pm.

The next topic was the Prince Valiant comic strip that started appearing last week (11/17/91) in the Hearld Journal Sunday papers. The comic strip dealt with how the Prince was going to deal with the "Evil Druid Priests". We decided to keep the next few weeks strips as a record so we can write to the publisher if necessary.

The next point was that we decided to start taping the business meeting, starting with the next one.

Georgeanna talked about the Women's Healing Circles she plans to do in conjunction with Aileen Terra from Stone Creed Grove.

Next there was a discussion about the new forms the pursewarden needs to turn in, and Bev decided that being pursewarden was creating too many personal hardships and resigned from the position. Sharon Ellison was elected to replace her by an unanimous vote.
More on the Solstice party. We will have a chant workshop before the Ritual to teach all the new chants that will be used. We plan to used chants for offerings instead of the usual Triad offerings. The Diviner's workshop will be held before the Ritual if time permits. We have been going too far over the times posted, and will try harder to match them. It was suggested in a letter from Joyce Flood to exchange Yule presents. We decided to hold off until next year in order to give people more notice.
