Imbolc Business Meeting Minutes for Muin Mound Grove, ADF - January 31, 2004

Present: Willow, Deb, John, Sharman, Sharon, Jenn, Skip. Phoenix & Ray arrived late.

Meeting started at 3:45.

Reports:

  • Pursewarden
    o Income for period - $8.81, expenses for period - $28.46, total for
    period - (-$19.65).
    o Account balances - Savings, $1119.31, checking - $375.32, PayPal -
    $7.86 & Petty Cash - $30.27. Total - $1,532.76
    o Food bank donations for period - 27 lbs. We need to try harder to
    get people to bring more.

    • Folk of the Grove - 9
    • Full Grove members - 4
    • National members - 7
    • Local members - 10
    Total number of ADF members - 20.

Old Business:
. Discussion about celebrating Summer Solstice at Ann's place. All
were in favor of it.
. Discussion about creating a faerie garden in the Nemeton and
building up the herb garden and creating 3 small circular gardens at the points of the triskele around the maypole.
. Talked about getting more rocks for the faerie and herb garden.
. Talked about painting the tires in the herb garden a bright color.
. Talked about having work weekends at least once per month during the
spring and summer.
. Talked about the bridge and safety. Decided that we need to take
out the rock and put in actual stair tread on the side leading in. Also, need to add another layer of decking to the bridge.
. We need to make more benches for the coming year. This time we will
use 6"X6" posts instead of logs for the supports.
. We need to find a nice old, big wooden chair to use when channeling.
. People would like to see more channeling in our rituals. Maybe
twice a year to start.
. The web site needs to be updated more often. Skip accepted the
responsibility for not having it done this time and will be more diligent on it.

New business:
. A suggestion was made to invite the local Henge of Keltria group to
MMM.
. Skip and Sharon will be hosting a "Druid Camp" on the property from
6/8 to 6/13. Muin Mound Grove will get 10% for the camping fees collected. Grove members will be able to attend without paying a camping fee.
. John will be starting a Dedicant's Program study group in December
after he graduates.
