Muin Mound Grove Meeting Minutes - Imbolc 2005

## Meeting opened: 3:55pm

## Attendees: Skip, Sharon, Jennifer, Willow, Jenn, Kia, Deb, Dennis

## Old Business:

Altar Cloth:

Kia took the old altar cloth and used it as backing for the new one.
She put quite a few hours work and it looks wonderful.

Sewing Circle:

We will be sewing tabbards tomorrow at 10am. Kia brought her sewing machine and Jenn will be bringing hers.

John suggested having the backs of the tabbards all be the same and we could personalize the fronts. Everyone agreed that this is a good idea.

Round Tables/PPD:

We should use them to begin writing the ritual for Pagan Pride Day.

At the last round table we talked about getting small tables to be placed at the thirds and place the offerings on them. We can get some small tables and put altar cloths over them.

Kia made a motion to use grove funds to purchase 3 small round tables for the grove. Dennis seconded. All in favor. None opposed.

We should get a clear plastic cover to protect the new altar cloth. A set of cheap clear plastic or glass plates can be used to put inder candles and oil containers.

Skip also got out the ADF traveling caldron to show the grove. We decided we should try to find something similar. Skip thinks this one cost about $10. The grove agreed to keep an eye open for one. We decided on a price of $20. If it costs more, email the grove and we can vote online. We took a vote and approved, without dissent, up to $20.

Shouldn't do toast and boast for everyone, just do a single toast for PPD. We should do the return flow as sprinkling water on the participants. We should have 3 really good offerings for the kindreds and a perhaps something that will make a good flame. Skip has 200 proof alcohol that would work well.

Jennifer suggested making 3 large paper representational pieces for the kindreds that could be burnt would be impressive.

Kia suggested a balsawood ship model for the Ancestors. It could be "painted" with colored parafin.

Dennis suggested we could combine an environmental workshop such as a solar oven and offer the bread. Would be very dependent on the weather.

Sharon suggested paper mache food.

We could use birdseed as offerings to the Nature Spirits.
