Samhain 2005 Business Meeting Minutes

## Mtg Open: 4:44pm
## Old Business
- Bylaws state that business meetings should be held at least once per
month. We need to start having regular online meetings again between the
in-person meetings.
- Pagan Pride Day services were well received. (Kia reported after the
meeting that she received compliments from a good number of people)
- The work on the bridge to the Nemeton did not get done. This needs to
be done in the Spring and we should schedule a work party specifically
for it, so it doesn't keep getting pushed back.
## New Business
- None of our members have been paying the $3/service. A few paid all
at once. With the ability to pay online, it seems easier to allow members
to take care of it themselves. We will make a point of getting the donation
can out again to keep the Grove funds up.
- We currently have 17 National Members. 2 are currently expired, but
are within their 90 grace period.
- We don't have an official financial report for the Grove this time,
but the only change was $30 outgoing for membership dues and Interest
coming into the account.
- We have decided to not contiue with the formal Round Table discussions
over the winter due to unpredictable weather. Deb & family are planning
to begin weekly study sessions. We should also consider online discussions.
- We are planning to do the Yule gift exchange again this year. Those
who wish to participate should bring a gift in the $10 range to the Yule
business meeting. We draw numbers and play a game to see who gets which
gift.
- The Children's Ritual is changing format and will be more like a storytime
session.
- In order to help provide the children of MMG with more apropriate language
to use in public settings, the Children's Ritual will now be referred
to as Children's Services. We will also be referring to the Main Ritual
as Worship Services. At least one other ADF Grove has been doing this.
Skip will make the changes to the website.
