| Muin Mound Grove Meeting Minutes - Yule 2006 Present - Dennis, Jennifer K, Amanda, Beth, Skip, Jennifer E, & Sharon The meeting was called to order by Dennis at 3:30 PM. A discussion was held about the meetup. It was a bust and only Skip, Sharon and Jennifer K showed up. We talked about trying again in February. Skip reminded people to please click the link on the Call for Nominations email everyone should have received so that ADF wouldn't have to mail them in same information by snail mail. There was a discussion about how bad Yahoo mail has been lately and how posts don't show up for hours after they had been sent. Continued the discussion of how to attract more members. We decided to simply hold more grove events and publicize them to the local community. If people want to show up they will, if not the grove can have fun doing the activates. For Imbolc, we will be having a candle making party. It will be on 2/3/07 and start at 12:00 PM. We will have soup and salad for lunch, then make poured candles. If people want, they can bring essential oils or stones or beads, etc. to put in 'treasure candles'. A notice of the event will be put on the Syracuse Pagan list and Witchvox. We discussed the changes the Clergy Council had made to the order of ritual and how it was in reality a simplification of the order already in use. The main difference from what we have been doing is the addition of a final prayer of sacrifice after all the praise offerings have been completed. The Clergy Council would also like groves to go back to the original format of only giving praise offerings to the deities of the occasion or of the season. Many groves, including ours, has moved away from this. The Clergy Council realizes that people want to be able to give praise to whomever they want and would like to see this done at 'other than High Day' rites. This led into the discussion about how groves that hold monthly or weekly services end up with more members than groves which only come together to celebrate the 8 High Days.
