Omens from the Spring Equinox 2005 Ritual

It was a beautiful night in the Nemeton with temperatures in the upper 30's.

Mixed omens again.

The omen taken before the ritual was , Ailim, Silver Fir and it told us that we needed to be able to use the long view and look ahead.

From the Ancestors, Luis, Rowan, a tree of magic and changes. This was the second High Day ritual in a row that rowan was drawn from the Ancestors, with the same meaning given each time.

From the Nature Spirits, Straif, Blackthorn, a sign of troubles ahead. This was the second High Day ritual in a row that blackthorn was drawn from the Nature Spirits, with the same meaning given each time.

And from the Shining Ones, Duir, Oak, giving us strength and wisdom.

All in all, looking ahead, we can see changes ahead and we need to take the long view to get by them.

It was interesting that Silver Fir was drawn both before and after the ritual and that for our Imbolc ritual, along with Rowan and Blackthorn, Silver Fir was drawn from the Shining Ones. We are definitely seeing a repeat of the signs!
